ouch!

Right before we went Easter egg hunting at Grandma's, Hannah had an unfortunate accident with one the barstools. She dropped it on her big toe. After running her toe under water for a while I wrapped her up in a blanket and cuddled while Grandma tried to dress it up. We could not get her toe to stop bleeding for hours, and it bled all the way home that night. Her dad was a sweetheart and held her on his lap while we went outside. Her best friend and cousin Dani took her basket and filled it up with easter eggs for her since she wasn't up to walking. It was way cute, she'd stop and stick one in her basket then put one in Hannah's. Her aunt Melanie was darling and did her best to feel better. She kept telling Hannah to tell her toe to get better, and on Sunday informed me that her toe did listen! Despite having the ugliest toe ever, and we are still waiting for the nail to fall off, she's fine. By Sunday afternoon she was jumping on her Grandma Gay's tramp and if we can keep James from stepping on it, it doesn't bother her. It was a pretty sad way to end her trip to her faraway Grandma's but she's a trooper, if only just a little dramatic. ;)
